Y'know, that didn't cross my mind until you mentioned it. I was thinking more along the lines of Firefly, which, in case you haven't seen it, does have a strong western influence. Maybe that'll be more noticeable when I post more stuff.

Anyway, hooray for Clint Eastwood!

I can see the Firefly influence. I really like how you descibe yourself; how you put yourself into a setting instead of writing "Well he looks like this this and this, likes are blah, dislikes are blah" and so forth. It could work as a great intro into a story.
