Aissata is Genevieve'a roommate, and her opposite. A nerdy feminist, Amirah prefers to stay in with books and journals rather than go out and party. Genevieve does beg her to go out all the time, and she occasionally relents (and hilarity often ensues). She can be bossy and chiding, but she is a loyal friend and has a dreamy lust for adventure she rarely admits. Mirah is a closeted lesbian.
