And so my "Paint Tool Sai: The Basics" series comes to a close with this tutorial, about layers. I deliberately don't mention linework (vector) layers or layer sets in this, and I leave out layer masks, Preserve Opacity (alpha lock), Clipping Group, and Selection Source. All that stuff is not The Basics; it's for more advanced or specialized tutorials. There's so much you can do with layers in Sai that I wouldn't be able to fit it all into one image this size.

Anyway, I hope this is useful for somebody out there, and if you read it, thank you for reading!
