Christmas Song (I Wish It Was Christmas Today) (2007)
Just for fun, I decided to do a cover of the Christmas song that Horatio Sanz, Jimmy Fallon, Tracy Morgan and Chris Kattan used to do on "Saturday Night Live" every year. Luckily, FA came back online just in time for me to post it!
I looked all over the intarwebs for the song's 'official' title, and everybody had it listed as something different. NBC's 'SNL' website has the sketch listed only as "Season's Greetings From SNL", but I wasn't about to call it that lol, so I just went with "Christmas Song (I Wish It Was Christmas Today)". This song was done about 4 or 5 times on 'SNL', each time with some of the lyrics changed, so I used my favorite ones from the different incarnations. Writing credits, I assume, go to Horatio Sanz and Jimmy Fallon (and possibly other 'SNL' writers).
This time I actually have an excuse for how lame it sounds: I did it on purpose. No, really lol. If you ever saw them do this song on the show, you'll know what I mean. I used a keyboard I have that I pretty much never use on songs because of how cheesy it sounds. This time, 'cheesy' is exactly what I was going for, so it finally came in handy.
It came out quieter than it should've, so you may have to turn it up. I might go back and fix this later, but for right now, I have too much else to do before Christmas (not really, I'm just lazy... but it's a good excuse, huh? lol).
Hope you all have a great holiday and a Happy New Year! ^_^
