I get bored at work, and being that I'm surrounded by facepaint and brushes with nothing but time--and the occasional customer--to stop me from drawing all over myself, I doodled Lyru on my arm today. Lyru's one of my older characters, in the sense I've had him for quite a few years now, and he is possibly the character of mine I like most. ^^;
Not that it means I'm nice to him. Lyru's been thrown out of his home as a kid, beaten while living on the streets, raped (twice; I'm not actually a big non-con fan, but I love breaking my characters), killed (he got better, eventually), turned into a vampire in a very painful process, and all manner of other things. No wonder the poor guy always looks so scared. And no matter how many times I retcon his past to get rid of the ridiculous bits (yeah he's not a vampire in his current iteration, nor has he died in the past), one thing remains constant: He is terrified. Of everything. Especially dragons.
This is, for now, a sort of placeholder ref for him, as I hope to get him featured in Puppy Love 3. ^^; But because I can't art very well, and can DEFINITELY not art bodies (which is kind of necessary if I don't want him to be a floating head) I've asked a friend of mine who's familiar with him and his personality to draw him for me. She is a sight better than I am at drawing.
