Soooooo, it's been a long long long while since I attempted to draw a human character. In fact I haven't even attempted to draw a human face since 2010 and that's because I've never been able to really find my own style or way to do a face properly; it just always frustrated me so I avoided it. I also didn't have much interest or reason to learn to draw people when I was always more of a monster and animal freak. I can do human bodies, since I do a lot of anthro art, but UGH FACES >:C
As much as I'm still really uncomfortable with it and know if I ever want to get better I'll have to practice a lot, this one actually makes me really happy to look at! It took me 8.5 hours straight to do this whole thing... that'll give you an idea of how much I suck at this, also all the proportions had to be perfect in each drawing for an animated character reference so that took quite a lot more time. My hand is sore and I've been up all night, but I'm glad it's finally out of the way. Chel has never had a reference sheet, and I'll still be going back to add her clothes, but now I get the chance to properly design her!

I don't think the world has enough female werewolves ;p Hence I sought to fix that a little. I'm a huge werewolf and transformation freak, though I don't express that often. I'll be animating her for a class project- but it'll just be super rough animation so it might as well be any generic person really. Figured I'd drag her out of the closet and get some use out of the character regardless. And I get people asking me all the time if I ever plan to finish that old werewolf transformation animation piece... so the answer to that is no, it's too old and ugly. However I would really like to revisit and start it all over again from scratch one day because I know it could be so much better.
I'm gonna take a nap before class now... *flops*
