A long in the works commission for the ever patient
Rooth featuring himself and his dragon gal Aram. The two are sharing a romantic night at home prepping an extra fancy pasta dinner for two! Rooth getting all fancy with the flambé while Aram gives him that mooshy look!
This was a super fun piece to work on, especially all the veggies and the city-scape in the back. Would love to do more work like this in the future! :)

HO MY GOD! ALL OF THE DETAIL!
@_@
Glitterpills, that's incredible. :) I can't get over how much is going on in there, it must've taken you FOREVER.
And I'm not just talking about the characters, of course. Aram's scales, and Rooth's hair .. but all that foodstuff, and flame, and brand names, and cityscape, and ... jeez, dude, this is really incredible. I'm in awes. :)
Dude.
Score. :)
Thank you!!! This is really flooring me. ^_^

And I'm incredibly grateful for your feedback man! The best part about getting this project done was the reaction I got from you about it, it's why I do what I do. I knew as soon as I went through your list of ideas that this was the one I wanted to do. I'm all about making feasts for people so I was instantly inspired! :)
Hard for me to give an accurate measurement but if I had to take a rough guess I'd say between 3 weeks to a month depending on complexity. In this time however I'm working a 6 weeks a day job and trying to maintain a social life so I'm not being such a hermit. I can typically manage about a couple of hours of work during a day.
I'm doing my best to try and pick up the speed in the amount of work I put out. Hopefully overtime it'll happen!

Wow thanks for the compliment and it means a lot! I was really excited to do this piece from the get go it's a subject I definitely enjoy. I cook a lot myself so I wanted to make it look like two people are actually cooking in the kitchen. That being said there should be a lot of clutter!
I'm also relieved to see positive feedback about each characters scale patterns. Up until this piece I worked strictly in traditional media (sketching) and SAI (inking and coloring). The scale texture was done in photoshop, my first time ever actually using the program. Glad to know it came out well!

WOW Leon!
I just am blown away every time I see a piece of yours! The minute little details that are so elegantly and painstakingly done! The mouthwatering array of colours and textures filling every inch of the piece!
I actually get teary eyed, cuz I remember when you first started really posting stuff...aaahhhhh
Leon you are a dog dedicated to his craft, and for that, I salute you!

My~ I know this might sound too much... but I think this is artwork of your is one of my favorite pictures among all furry artworks I've seen in my life.
The mainly reason is the look and feel that you've built there. I'll move with my spouse soon and I always talk to him how I want a kitchen full of ingredients and tools so we can cook wonderful meals, and MAN! The sunset back there, the wonderful red color of the walls along with the colorful ingredients... it INSPIRES cooking!
I know its been 5 years since you've made this, but I still love gazing into every detail~
