COMMISSION INFORMATION & TERMS OF SERVICE
NOTE to other artists interested in freelancing/commissioning:
You are ABSOLUTELY free to use both my commission page at http://violetashescommissions.weebly.com/ and my Terms of Service here to work from as a template for your own business. You don’t have to ask!
If you choose to just copy/paste, please read through and be aware of all the personal changes (turnaround times, how you offer refunds, how you offer approvals, what you will and won’t draw) as they may not be suitable for your own personal schedule and may need changing!
How Does Your Schedule Work / What Is Your Turnaround Time?
Regular Commissions are always open. I will only accept 5 slots per week.
I do not work on the weekends unless I’m off from my part-time job, which is rare.
Depending on the queue, I generally finish one commission per 4 days, minus the weekends. The only hinderance to this is my part-time job.
The Trello queue will have a date marked on your commission for when I expect it to be done. Please pay attention to the Trello queue.
If you do not receive your piece from me within 12 days of the original due date, please contact me.
If your due date changes due to my job or life issues, they will be listed in the Updates section of my Trello.
If you commission me, please bookmark my Trello page. This will be updated with changes in my schedule, such as delays, as well as updates on individual pieces.
Can I Purchase Multiple Slots?
Yes, IF YOU PURCHASE MULTIPLE SLOTS, you will be given one invoice for each commission. I won’t allow one invoice for all commissions as selecting Partial Payment nullifies your ability for a proper refund according to Paypal.
What Is The Approval Process?
IF YOU DO NOT TRUST MY JUDGMENT, PLEASE DO NOT COMMISSION ME!
For Icons - There is NO Approval Process.
For Full Sketch - There is NO Approval Process. You are allowed basic edits after the finalized piece.
For Full Color Sketch/Refined Color Sketches - You are given a sketch to approve. There is NO Approval process post-sketch. You are allowed basic edits after the finalized piece.
For Stream Commissions - If you do not speak up during the creation of your piece, changes will not be made when the piece is completed. Please be sure to be in the stream for your commission.
PLEASE BE SURE to give me all reference sheets and images regarding your character for the commission. Be sure that they are the correct reference. If there are wrong colors, outdated features or any bodily changes, you MUST alert me before the commission begins. I work only from what I am given as reference.
PLEASE BE AWARE that if you send me multiple pieces of art as reference, I may define certain aspects of the character based on these pieces. Try to keep consistency.
PLEASE BE AWARE that I do not translate “busts” or “full bodies” under the normal concept. My busts can range from shoulders to just below the upper torso, and my full bodies can range from waists down to the feet. I focus on composition heavily if I’m enjoying a piece, and don’t just try to stick characters in a static rectangle or box.
I DO NOT ACCEPT written descriptions of characters except for Reference Sheet commissions.
Do You Charge Extra For…?

Unpopular Ships. This is an odd request but I get the question a lot.
Wings
Basic Clothing
I DO CHARGE EXTRA FOR:
Advanced Clothing. If it has intricate embroidery work or a large amount of small details.
Additional characters.
Armor.
Guns.
Robotic parts.
NSFW content.
Internal shots.
Background preferences.
Deadlines. If you need an image in less than 7 days, there is an additional charge. Please be sure to order in advance to avoid this charge.
CHARACTER COUNT - Allowed up to 8 characters in a single piece, versus the original 4.
Will You Draw…?
Please ask if I will draw something you think I may not draw, do not see in my gallery, or you have been turned down from other artists for. Each artist varies wildly in what they will and will not take, so to be absolutely sure, asking is necessary!
My Current DO NOT DRAW list consists of the following:
Birthing
Castration
Gaping/Prolapse of any kind
Underage (Characters must be aged up with a fully developed adult body)
Real People (I will only accept SFW content with real folks. NSFW content will be denied unless there is explicit consent from each person involved in the image)
Do You Do Group Images?
I do not allow any more than 4 characters in a single commission at this time.
Legacy commissioners may ask for a total of 8 characters in a single image.
How Do I Pay?
Payments are received via invoice. Invoices can be paid via credit card, debit card, or Paypal account or threw Fiverr. working on the ways.
Payment is required upfront for all commissions. If you’re not ready to pay, you’re not ready to commission.
Paying the invoice means you agree to all terms of service listed here.
These prices are in USD for the United States. If you live outside of the USD, your currency rate may be lower or higher depending on your country's current rate.
Once you pay your invoice, there are no refunds. You agree to the Terms of Service and the current details of your image as written in our correspondence.
If you would like to add additional content to your commission post payment, an additional charge may apply.
Do You Accept Deviantart Points or Do Art Trades/Requests?
I do not accept Deviantart Points.
Trades/Requests are mostly between friends or if I’ve got nothing on my plate.
LEGAL JARGON
If you are under the age of 18, you are absolutely not allowed to purchase a NSFW commission from me, regardless of price. If I discover from any piece of information that you are under the age of 18, you will be forbidden from commissioning me until you're of age.
If you purchase any form of commission involving another's identity or character, you agree that you have obtained sufficient permissions from the rightful owner. I am not responsible for any incident that may occur if permissions are not granted. The only time I request explicit permission directly from the owner is if the piece involves real people in NSFW acts.
If you purchase any form of commission or project from me, you are allowed to use the artwork in a non-commercial format for your content unless otherwise specified with a royalty or agreement contract via invoice.
If you purchase any form of commission from me that you would like to use on T-shirts, mugs, or other form of resellable merchandise, you must have a royalty contract in place before I will accept the commission.
If you wish to use my artwork in a non-commercial format, but have not commissioned me, please send me a message via one of the contact routes below and chances are I will be more than happy to allow you to use my work with proper credit!
If you find my artwork being used by someone and believe that they have not asked permission, please contact me via one of the contact routes and I'll look into it.
Please avoid engaging in conflict with any user if you see them using my work without permission. If you are capable of asking them politely to remove the artwork, please feel free to do so. Otherwise, Alert Me First.
