Light render is a cosmetic addition. Shading is here, it gives some depth and volume, but on a compromise level, enough to please the eye. Usually, just one layer with a mild gradient.

Fullbody: 20 USD
Fine render is a regular type of shading. It gives more volume, as more "layers" are present, unlike light variant. It can take as much coverage and contrast on your character as you please.
