RulesSimple enough,
Contact me through notes here on FA, if you want we can speak on another service but in text. I need a written explanation of what you want afterall. Start off with a title of 'Commission Request', and I'll know what you want. Simply ask if I can do what you want and explain such in your opening, and I'll get back to you once I'm free. It is a first come first serve basis.
-I do reserve the right to refuse a request or commission. Some things I won't do, namely gore and blood play. Others I'm iffy on, anything slob related or excessive filth. Bring it to me first, and I'll tell you yes or no. Worse case scenario, I say no and point you to an artist that will do such for similar pricing.
-Before I do any work, I will need a full list of details you want. I'm doing mixed art here, with physical materials and digital software. So if you forget a bow or a necklace on someone, either I have to go back and erase stuff and use more of my stuff, which is not easy especially for physical shading, or I need to half-ass it in the digital portion of picture. To that end, I'll ask repeatedly if that is all. Additionally, have references ready if you have any.
-I will also give you updates on where I stand with the picture, especially in the coloring and shading phases, assuming you go for that. Since the coloring is digital, it can be changed repeatedly. Digital shading is the same, but physical is a bit more tricky.
-To that end, if you vanish off the face of the earth, and I can't get feedback from you, I will just complete the piece to the best of my ability. Or I'll put your piece on the back burner if there's something you didn't cover, and move on to someone else's piece. So either be available, or make sure everything's covered in the initial list. |

Coloring linework or sketchesIf you have a picture that is uncolored, unshaded, and is just linework or even a rough sketch, don't worry! I am willing to work on those.
-I will need the artists permission to do so, or a contract of their's stating you have full rights over the picture.
So long as it's okay with the original artist, I'm fine with doing whatever to a picture. Credit will be given for the original work, and separate credit for the coloring.
However, don't take this as a call to get just linework from someone else, then come to me to have it colored cheaper. If you're having someone else do the linework and they can color it, go with THEM. Or have me do the linework AND the coloring.
Regardless, this will adjust prices:
$10 simple linework on sketch, $15 large/complex linework on sketch
$15 simple coloring, $20 large/complex coloring, +$5 for shading. |

PaymentPayment for the time being is done through Paypal. Information will be given at time of payment.
Half of the payment will be upfront, and half after. This is to ensure no one skips out on their end of the deal.
-The above is negotiable, however a significant reason must be given.
-Failure to pay the latter half will not result in the former being returned, and will keep the piece in question in limbo.
-You may cancel the Commission within reason. Asking to end it in the early stages is fine; Asking to end it before the last step is not. The general cutoff point only applies to full color and shades, and said point is when the coloring stage is in progress. Before coloring happens, you may cancel.
-The second half of payment may be delayed upto 2 weeks, so long as notice and reasoning is given. If an extension is needed, another 2 weeks may be given with again notice and reason. Failure to pay after that will hold the piece in collections essentially. No other piece can be commissioned until the second half +25% of the total is paid in full. Any other in progress pieces will be put on hold until payment is sorted out.
-All comissions are totaled separately, and have individual deadlines that will be written out, privately and publicly.
-- If you do not wish your commission status to be displayed publicly, for whatever reason, ask. An arrangement will be sorted out.
If, for whatever reason, there is an issue with any of the above rules, please simply ask and talk to me about it. Chances are, something can be worked out. The bulk majority of these are simply to protect myself, and you to an extent. They sound hard, and harsh, but they have to be clearly defined. That said, if there's a problem, it can likely be sorted out. |
