Extra FeaturesThere is no set price for extra features as it generally depends on how complicated the new addition is (adding a background vs adding additional characters) or what tier I'm working on (a sketch vs a fully-shaded piece), but I have made a formula that helps me decide these things and I will post it here for full transparency.
Base price = the prices I already have listed
Backgrounds = doubles the base price (this calculated before other additions and accounts for the base in the total, ex. a $10 sketch with a background becomes $20 total, not $10 + $20)
Extra Character = adds two thirds of the base price (rounded up to the nearest $5) per character (ex. a $20 flat color piece would have a 2/3 price of roughly $13, so this is rounded up to adding $15 per extra character)
Alt. Outfits/Forms/Etc. = adds half the base price (rounded up to the nearest dollar) per alt. feature (ex. a $10 sketch with alt. features would add +$5 per feature)
Extra Ref Sheet Features: +$20 per feature
I understand this can be confusing, so please ask me more about this if you want to know more. I also may increase or decrease these additions if they're especially simple or detailed. |
