Substantive Editing:
Evaluating based on content without consideration for Spelling or Grammar. Margin Notes will reference quality of story telling, issues with flow and character development, fact checking, and advise to improve your work.
Rate: 1-6 pages/hr at $55/hr
Developmental Editing:
Evaluating core story structure and elements -before- the writing process. Breakdowns of characters, world building, acts and scenes, motivations, story focus and flow are all considerations.
Rate: 1-5 pages/hr at $45/hr
Formatting & Style Guides:
Review of Formatting and Editing based on your chosen Style Guide (Chicago, AP, APA, MLA, Custom, etc), or creation of a table of contents for your work.
Rates: 8-20 pages/hr at $50/hr
Academic/Technical Editing:
Review of specialized, technical or high-level works against specified style guides and/or manuals.
Rates: $75/hr
