Commission RulesClick here for the commission worksheet!
Rules that apply to all my commissions.
Terms of Service:
I retain all rights to the commission, which includes but is not limited to: distribution, reproduction, self-promotion, display on public sites, and commission samples.
I do not take credit for the ownership and design of the characters featured in the commission.
I have the right to decline any request without further explanation.
Commissions are for personal use only: gifts, wallpaper, personal prints, icons, headers, profile pictures, and posts on social medias are acceptable with credit to the artist. Do not remove my watermark from the commission!
You may not make profits from the commissioned piece of any kind (reselling, redistributing, uploading to POD-services, streaming promotion, etc).
You may not use the commission for NFTs or to train AI networks.
What I will/won’t draw:
I have some limitations on what I am comfortable drawing. This can basically be summed up as: I am not comfortable drawing anything that’s sexually explicit.
Tasteful nudity is fine, but I’d prefer not to draw any explicit depictions of genitals; basically, any nude character would be getting the “Ken doll treatment.” (So, if you wanted something like, say, unbirth, it would have to just be implied.)
I also don’t want to draw any characters participating in the actual act of sex, though it could also be implied (for example, a picture of two characters lying next to each other in bed would be fine.) In any kind of situation like this, though, both characters would need to be adults -- I am not at all comfortable implying sexual situations with any underage characters.
Basically, I don’t really want to draw anything that would garner worse than a PG-13 rating. Looking through my gallery should give you a pretty good idea of the kinds of things I’m comfortable drawing.
It’s difficult to define hard-and-fast rules here, because everyone’s viewpoints differ, and what I consider explicit might not be considered so by someone else, and vice versa. I reserve the right to decide what I would and would not be comfortable making; if you take one of my commissions slots and I don’t think I’ll be comfortable making what you’re requesting, I’ll bring it up before any work begins or money changes hands. Also, if you are interested in a commission but are not sure if what you want is “explicit” in my personal view, feel free to claim the slot anyway and discuss it with me. In either case, I won’t be offended, and if we can’t work something out, then I’ll re-open the slot for someone else to take.
In addition: I have quite a few of my own characters that have their own lore and worlds built around them, and I am often very hesitant to add things to their canon as part of a commission. If you want a commission involving one of my characters, and especially if it involves my characters interacting with your characters, I'm going to want to discuss the idea with you first to determine if I feel it fits with the world and character. I may want to discuss possible changes to make it fit with my characters better, or I may decide I don't want to take on that particular commission (this will always happen before money changes hands, of course.) And even if I do take it on, any commission story involving my characters will probably be considered non-canon. Thank you for understanding.
If you want a commission:
In order to simplify this, if you’d like a commission, please fill out this form. Make sure to include an email or other contact information so I can ask about any details that are unclear. Also, please make sure to include any details you want included in the commission (especially for stories.) You can also contact me via email at rabbitinafoxden@gmail.com.

Art PricesArt is $60 per character. All art will be lined and colored with flat colors (which is how most of my finished art is.)
I am now offering a sketch tier again, at $40 per character. Sketches will be messy lines with one or two grayscale tones, as seen here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55766013/
I am also no longer offering specific discounts for multiple characters, or for getting art and a story together -- all prices will be as they are, to keep things simpler.
I do not have specific tiers for half-body/busts, but may be willing to work with you on price if you want something involving that, depending on how complicated the picture is.
An indistinct bulgy belly does not count as a character, but a cutaway or very detailed bulge does!
I don't usually draw backgrounds, but will probably be willing to draw a simple background if a commission needs one without an extra charge. If a more complicated background is needed, I'll discuss potential prices with you depending on complexity.
A note on comics:
I may or may not be up for doing a comic as a commission, so please ask if you would like one. If you want me to draw a single page comic, the prices will remain more or less the same, with the above prices for each character in each panel. However, if there's a panel that basically just involves copying and pasting (like, say, a second panel showing the same as the previous one, but the character has a slightly different expression) then I *won't charge anything* for the copy-pasted panel. I'm just copying the work I already did in the previous panel, after all. If you're interested in a multi-page comic, let me know, but I'll probably just consider each page a separate commission. |

Story PricesCommissions are priced by word count and partially by complexity. If you order a story from me, you will pay a down payment based on how complex of a story you want (split into two tiers, shown below.) This down payment will also be a minimum payment. Then, when I have finished the story, I will send you a second charge based on the number of words that story ended up being (since that's an easy way to quantify the time and effort I put into it.)
Single Act Story ($20 down payment)
The story will have a single "act" (which could be one long scene or might be split into smaller scenes if necessary) and will usually have a conflict and some sort of resolution. I expect these stories to be around 1000-1500 words, unless you want me to linger particularly long on a given scene.
Three Act Story ($40 down payment)
The story will have more of an ebb and flow to it, with a more distinct beginning, middle, and end. I expect these stories to be around 3000 words, but sometimes that number can vary depending on the story.
Final Price: $0.02 (USD) per word. The down payment made counts towards it, so, as an example, if the story was a Single Act Story and it ended up being 2000 words, there will be an additional charge of $20.00 to bring the total paid for the story to $40.00. The down payment is a minimum price -- if the price for the total number of words in a story is less than the down payment, then that will be the price of the story; I will not be issuing a partial refund. I do not anticipate this happening -- the story would have to be pretty short, and my stories have a tendency to run longer than expected, not shorter. And this is assuming you're satisfied with the shorter story, as well.
(For full transparency and for people who know what this means, the word count is done with the regular expression /\S+/ )
Regardless of the final length, I will show you the finished story before sending the final charge to make sure it is acceptable, and make any changes I feel are reasonable to bring it in line with your expectations. Major rewrites may require an additional charge. (I will discuss this with you if I feel it is necessary.)
I used to have a price cap for stories, but will no longer be doing that. However, if a story is looking like it's going to be a lot longer than anticipated, I'll stop work on it and contact you so we can discuss how to proceed. |
