Fursuit HeadBoth techniques cost the same, so the price doesn't change. Foam is cheaper, but requires much more labour hours than the 3D base, where the printing costs are slightly higher. Sometimes the 3D base is cheaper because changes can be made in advance and you don't have to start from scratch.
Please note that the actual price depends on your character and needs, so ask for a detailed, individual quote.

The advantage of this option is that the jaw can move, the face and expression are more detailed, and the head itself has less weight and, depending on the shape, a smaller blind spot or no blind spot at all. I can show you the 3D rendering of the base so you can choose the best shape and facial expression for your character. Unlike foam where changes after completion are difficult.

In this case, the jaw may not move as nicely and fluidly or at all. It's better to say that it cannot move. Also, the head weighs more and the facial expression isn't so visible.
