Mage Writing YCHSomething I picked up from my friend Sabiya over on the Furry Amino app (who is new to Furaffinity btw) about a writing YCH. This one is where you can only have a single fursona in there, where you’re the mage in a college that wants to practice spells.
~~~
(Name) walked through the halls of the college, (his/her) (colour) robes bellowing out from behind (him/her). (He/She) had to go to the (magic branch) training room, where fellow (mage group) like (him/her) could practice without worry. Many teachers were in there, and they could tell (him/her) whether (he/she) was doing it right or wrong.
(He/She) entered the training room for (magic branch), seeing many others like (him/her) practicing spells in relative safety. Of course, all spells held their dangers, but (magic branch) held the danger of (specific danger). Hence the teachers, to prevent (specific danger) from happening.
(Name) found an empty space to practice in. (He/She) raised a (paw/hand) and began to cast the most basic spell in the (magic branch) branch of magic. The (type of spell) worked (perfectly/good enough), but it was basic. (He/She) had to work up to the harder stuff. The (magic group) Test was in a (timeframe)’s time, and this is (his/her) last chance to get the most difficult spell yet to do.
The (Tough spell name).
Any beginning (magic group)’s worst nightmare for the (magic group) Test. This spell took a great toll on them, and some (magic group)s don’t pass because they cannot sustain the (tough spell name).
(Name) focused their (mana/magic/whatever) into the spell, the (tough spell name) slowly beginning to form in front of them.
‘Am I doing it?’ (Name) thought to (himself/herself), (his/her) eyes widening in happiness.
Suddenly, the (tough spell name) got out of (paw/hand), threatening to (engulf/harm) (name). (Name) ducked, as the (tough spell name) continued to (grow/lash out).
As if right on cue, a teacher burst in and used (his/her) extensive knowledge of (magic branch) magic to stop the (tough spell name) (growing/lashing out) and, slowly but surely, contain and disperse the rogue spell.
(Name) scrambled up, looking at the teacher in awe. Awed by how effortless (his/her) containment and dispersal of the (tough spell name) they just displayed. The teacher walked up to them, (his/her) robes the same colour as (name)’s.
“Do you want to know what you did wrong?” (He/She) asked, no trace of a condescending tone in (his/her) voice. As if (he/she) actually cared.
(Name) only managed to nod, which (he/she) began to listen to the teacher’s instructions, soon managing to hold the (tough spell name) by the end of the (morning/afternoon).
On A Date Writing YCHA perfect thing for Valentine’s Day, or any day, don’t ya think?
~ ~ ~
Finally, a date.
(Name 1) and (Name 2) were paw in paw, walking down the footpath towards the restaurant. The (species of no. 1) and (species of no. 2) were in their finest for this evening. The (species for no. 1) was in (attire). (Name 2) was in (attire).
They soon came to the restaurant, the soft glow of the lights comforting to the two. They entered the fine establishment, known only as (restaurant name). A counter server, who was a (male/female) (species).
“Hi, we’re (name 1) and (name 2),” (name 1) said.
The counter server nodded and ticked their names off. (He/She) took two menus out from beside (him/her).
“Follow me,” (he/she) said, smiling with a practiced smile.
Still paw in paw, the couple followed the (species) to their quaint two seat table. The counter server placed their menus at their seats and walked away, leaving (name 1) and (name 2) to sit down.
They picked up the menus and flicked through it, looking for what sounds appetising to them. A (species) (waiter/waitress) came up to them, a notepad in their (paw/hand).
“Your orders?” (he/she) asked, a pen hovering above the surface of the notepad.
The two looked at each other, (name 1) motioned to (name 2) to order first.
“I’ll have (main) with a (drink), please,” (he/she) said, pointing to each item with a finger.
The (waiter/waitress) nodded and wrote it down on the notepad. Then, (he/she) looked at (name 1) for (his/her) order.
“I’ll have (main) and (drink), please,” (he/she) said.
The (waiter/waitress) wrote it down and closed it. “Thank you,” (he/she) responded before walking away towards the kitchen to give the cooks their orders.
That only left them to talk.
Five minutes passed with only light conversation happening between the couple, until their drinks arrived. They lightly sipped at their drinks, feeling the liquid cool their throats. It must’ve felt like forever until their food arrived, but it was well worth the wait.
The plates of (dish for name 2) and (dish for name 1) were still steaming. The scents that washed off of them brought bliss to their noses. While they so desperately wanted to dig in, they knew better than to do that in this fancy place.
They picked up their utensils and slowly worked their way through their dishes, once again back to lightly conversing between their bites. When they were done, they placed their utensils onto their empty plates, stood from their seats, and left, paw in paw once again.
(Name of who’s paying) paid for their meals and drinks, and they left the (restaurant name) proper. (Name 1) and (name 2) walked back up the footpath they came down on.
“Better night than what we usually do?” (Name 1) asked, smiling.
“Definitely better than (something),” (Name 2) answered.
