Payment
Payment is done through Paypal only, I will invoice you once you agree to the pricing quote. Full payment is taken up front before I'll begin work on your piece. Please do not request a refund from Paypal directly, as listed in the refund section, I'm more than willing to work with you on a refund.
Communication + Requesting changes
Throughout the commission process I will communicate with you often and reply promptly to help expedite the process for both of us, however give me at least 24 hours to respond before sending another message, just in case something is preventing me from replying. Never be afraid to request alterations, though complete overhauls in the design/composition after you've already approved of the sketch may incur extra fees. The sooner you let me know something needs to be changed, the better! During the sketch phase, anything goes, I will not charge extra for changes to the sketch***. Once you say that the sketch is complete and give me permission to proceed with lines or coloring, any major edits post-sketch (pose changes, clothing changes, design changes etc.) I'll have to add to the price depending on the work it will take to fix, and the changes will not be made until the fee is paid.
***(((unless an excessive amount of my time is being used on edits (which may happen if I'm working on a description alone, or designing you a character) I will let you know well in advance if this is the case)))
Refunds
If for whatever reason you decide you don't want to go through with the commission, no sweat! I'm a very understanding person, you don't even have to tell me why, but please understand I cannot give full refunds if the piece is complete or close to. Here's a handy scale for my refund policy!
0-25% Complete: Full refund, if you request a refund before I even start the piece or have just given you one composition sketch, you'll get your full money back.
25-75% Complete: Partial refund, This is a grey area for me, I'm willing to work with you on a case my case basis, but please understand I need to have at least something for the work I've done since the commission wasn't cancelled in the early stages.
75-100% Complete: Partial to no refunds. Again I can work with people on a case by case basis, but I'm less apt to give leeway since the refund was requested very late in the process. To protect myself from being scammed, the full sized piece will not be given if a partial refund is issued.
However if for some reason I am the one unable to go through with the commission for whatever reason, I will always offer a full refund along with my most sincere apologies. This is very rare though.
Expected Turnaround
It can take me anywhere from a week to a couple months to complete a commission depending on the complexity and other variables. For the sake of having a solid time frame, expect your commission to be done in under 2 months. After 2 months has passed from the time you were invoiced, I will offer a full refund. Though under normal circumstances it takes much less time than that for me to finish a piece.
Reposting your commission
Once you approve of the final draft, your commission is yours! You may repost it wherever you like, use it as an icon/header/whatever you like! All I request is you leave my signature on my work so others can find me by looking at it.
However, please do not sell your commissioned work as a print or otherwise for any kind for profit. Any non-profit use of this work is permitted by you the commissioner only.
Using your commission for my portfolio/ social media
I reserve the right to use the work I've done for you in my portfolio or post it to my social media. I will mention you in the comments of the post unless you ask me not to tag/mention you. |
