So this is a sort of step by step on how I did the scar on a recent mask! :) I thought it would be fun to share! ^_^
This is just my way of doing it! and I'm sure there are tons of other ways!
just be sure to be careful with all tools and products!
Oh also, read the whole left side and then the right XD
Also. Type OMFG. *paint* not pain.

For the shading around the scar I used createx airbrush paints in my airbrush :)
For the scar itself I used acrylic paint! ^_^
But I've made many projects without using an airbrush for the longest time :) so an airbrush is not necessary as long as you have good brushes/ stiff brushes! :)

If it dries on there you should be pretty good! :) Things like sharpies, watercolors, tempera paints will definitely come off with water. acrylic not so much! It takes a good cleaner like airbrush cleaning fluid to scrub off some acrylics and good airbrush paints off of masks. though fading definitely does happen!
I am going to be making a set of handpaws that have a scar on the back of the hand in a specific shape. How would you suggest doing that? I thought about trimming down the fur in the shape of the scar and then "painting" colored latex into the trimmed area. Would that work? Thanks!
