The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Hyrule Castle
posted 11 years ago Musician
Also: MP3 version
I wanted (as much as possible) to have each instrument's unique stereo panning position to have its own MIDI channel. I failed. I used all 16 channels available to General MIDI 1.1 files (5 for trumpet, 5 for tremolo strings, 2 for flute, 2 for timpani, 1 for french horn and 1 for cymbals), and I still had to force a channel or two to share nonconcurrent voices. However, I'd say the result was still good, wouldn't you think?
