Yes, I understand art theft. That being said, it is extremely trivial for someone with even modest photoshop skills to remove a watermark.
It would probably take me 5-15 minutes to paint over that watermark if I was into that kind of thing (which I am not).
I think this one really detracts from this work.

While you can't stop it, most folks aren't that dedicated to spend ANY time to remove a watermark . . . . lol
I would personally cover the entire image in a watermark that is very low opacity but still noticeable. Figure if they're going to go through the motions to remove the WM, may as well make them work for it :D
The alternatives are far smaller previews, or none at all I guess.

I agree with Day. Marie wouldn't bother if it wasn't an issue which I am sure at some point it has been for her. As for being able to paint over it I think many who don't value the art and artist enough to steal their work lack the skills to do that, hence stealing someone else's. People who work hard to hone a skill like painting seldom disrespect others in the same field like that.
