Last week this railcar arrived at the local railyard. This is the most impressive railroad graffiti I've yet seen in person, and it features anthro characters, to boot! On close inspection much of the background work was done with brush, not spray paint. And like the "pro's" do, the car data lettering was left uncovered.
Rumor has it that this artist is from Hawaii, and creates art like this on jaunts back to the continent. (In other words, I did not do this, I just took the photo).

Interesting, it looks like the artist deliberately DIDN'T cover over the FRA, railroad ID/builder and capacity numbers. That's rather unusual. The owner of the car could probably care less about the graffiti so long as the reporting marks are unobscured, maybe graffiti artists are getting wiser.
