Zootopia, a real "Tear" Jerker
Now, before you kill me for this odd joke, I want to say a few words first:
This image was done BEFORE Zootopia came to the States ( or Canada ). The hype was real and was plastered all over the Internets. So much hype that many artists that I watch started to do fan art for the movie. These illustrations ranged from various animals that were shown in the previews, to Rule34. Mostly Rule34. In various styles from different sites and artists around the world, the main cast of Zootopia were ( and still are ) depicted in various sexual acts. PORN art, most of Judy Hopps or Nick Wilde taking on various mammals and their exaggerated "gifts", or "what could happen in that situation with that movie character." May I repeat that all of this came BEFORE the movie was released. It got to a point where there was a fan-made bill to have all Zootopia porn banned from the net and kindly ask all furry artists to stop drawing R34 of the film. ( Never passed ). I was expected to see a sign by the theater door reading "Furries must provide their own tissues and lubricant while watching the movie." 0_o
So in response to the huge sea of porn images of the movie, I did this image. I just never got around to finishing it.
I've seen the movie and I loved it. I love what Disney did and the story/message behind the movie: racism. A very hard subject to touch but the moral was executed perfectly that adults AND kids could understand. No to mention the real-life feel and frustrations the characters express to each other and the situations they faced. The environment and textures to EVERYTHING was also mind blowing ( blah blah blah, I'm ranting on how great the movie was ). However, there were some parts where I know Disney was doing a nudge nudge wink wink to the furry fandom, the nudist colony and the sparkling tigers at the end. Just watching that part, I KNEW that R34 artists would have a blast with it, and dabbling a bit in furry porn, I can see where one would have fun during those scenes. ( Bravo Tommy Chong for voice acting as the Yak! )
So Zootopia. Great movie! Worth displaying in your DVD collection! Great movie for the Furry Fandom and community!

To give a more complete answer:
There are some scenes where, even if you don't start bawling, your eyes are likely to well up with tears. Without giving too much away, there's a scene in which a young animal is horribly bullied by his peers, a scene in which a wife wonders if she'll ever get her husband back, a scene in which one character declares that it's okay if they're never forgiven for the horrible things they've done, eyes welling up... there are parts of this movie that are pure tear jerker. We're talking all the feels.
As for the supposed winks and nudges to the furry crowd, well, I can't say we won't get anything out of it. Gazelle dances just like Shakira (and those hips don't lie), and her backup dancers have grown a fan nickname: Bara Tiger Strip(p)ers. They have glitter in their fur, they swing their hips, and they're considered major hunks in the movie's setting. (Kind of have to be -- who ever heard of a star's backup dancers not being gorgeous?) I kind of doubt it was directed at us so much as we got caught in the blast radius, though. The "naturalist" scene, for instance, looks to be mostly an avoidance reflex to avoid winding up with a G rating. (G-rated movies are infamously undersold because everyone thinks they're "kiddie" stuff. We're talking Care Bears, here.)
Now, is there going to be broad furry appeal? Yes. That doesn't mean it's specifically targeted at us, but the main director (Byron Howard) is a huge fan of Disney's Robin Hood -- he's going to have fun with it. And, yes, there's something for darn near every furry kink on this server, from macro/micro to fat furs to diaper furs to -- well, you get the idea. But it's all in service to telling a great story, and none of it feels tacked on. (But goodness, Mr. Otterton had some interesting hobbies...)
Conversely, there are some things you're not going to see in this picture. While the female characters have a humanoid body plan, for instance, they do not have human-style breasts. There are no overt sexual references (aside from a somewhat crude joke and the inevitable line about bunnies and multiplying). No blood or other bodily fluids.
What you will see: Some of the most gorgeous scenery and characters in the history of Disney, with an amazing number of direct species references thrown in. A city built around "furgonomics", so that every one of the wildly disparate species has something to accommodate them. Instincts triggering at the worst possible times. Some amazing jokes and drama and some of the best police procedural to ever grace an animated feature film. And, of all things, a light "film noir" in furry.
(The previous draft was even more "film noir". We're talking Blade Runner levels of darkness, here. But I digress.)
Overall? It's gorgeous, it's wonderful, and yes, it can be called a "furry" movie in the best way possible.

Thank you. there were more than one cry points in that movie for me. Judy turning in her badge, Mrs. Otterton crawling into bed as Emmet comes to... when Nick gets His badge. and overall, for the great uncovering. This is now what we can all point at. I am a little upset that my closest disney store has a single kiosk of stuff. nothing more...
Check the Disney Store online. They even have the carrot recorder pen. My complaint is that there are no plushes of Gary the wolf.
it was in a friendly way :) https://twitter.com/_rich_moore/sta.....48375121711104
honestly, I feel the word prejudice fits the film better as the whole story about the way Judy was being treated by the sheriff could reflect both racism and sexism, with her being a female rabbit leaving it open and ambiguous. I also appreciate how they made it kind of go both ways, with both Judy and Nick facing issues because of how they were born.
Ironically, while I'm sure Judy would have agreed with you at that point, the chief wasn't actually being that awful to her. She was basically shoved down his throat by the Mammals Forward Initiative (think Affirmative Action), meaning he was made to include her in the police force without having a chance to evaluate her skills. He then started her out on parking duty (not out of the question for a new recruit) and had her abandon her post to chase down what looked to be a petty theft. (Not to even mention the amount of damage her pursuit of Weaselton caused in Little Rodentia.)
So while Bogo was prejudiced against her, he tried not to let it color his thinking too much -- and it was more because Mayor Lionheart dropped her in his lap than because of anything she was. As he said, "Do you think anyone cared how I felt when they assigned you to me?"

Zootopia joins the ranks of the, "I never wanted to see porn of these characters, this actually hurts me" group, It will join along side Homestuck and Undertale. Personally I'm tired of seeing it everywhere and the shippers between Nick and Judy are insane I think, they were supposed to just be friends, but eh, what ever floats your boat or flips your skirt up I guess. :P
Though I actually did tear a bit the first time seeing the movie at points, I guess I should have brought my own tissues but at the time a sleeve worked fine I guess :P

It was an interesting deconstruction of the classic Disney, "Their society is just like ours... Only they're animals." Not the idealized version from past movies, but with warts and all.
I have to agree with some of the critics, though... The movie took a bit of a whirlwind tour. The city of Zootopia feels like it has a LOT more stories to tell.

I seriously hope so. There's so much potential for exploration/expansion, and a lot of things we don't know about their society and culture. Where are the birds, reptiles, sea mammals, insects, etc.? Do the predators eat animals, and if so, where do they come from? Are there entire herds of ancestral animals that never got smart, so there's no taboo against eating them? Etc., etc., etc.
I would *love* to see a cartoon series set in this "Zooniverse," as long as it had decent writing standards and wasn't dumbed down to be entirely G-rated. The odds, however, aren't in our favor: dumb shows seem more profitable than smart ones. :/

"Teer" - jerker?
'Tear' may also be used, but it would only match the context in reference to acknowledging the R34 content.
It was a tear-jerker to me too! I LOVE Zootopia and I'm so glad that it has rightly received 7 awards for 2016!
I'm glad that the world was more aware that zoo-pron was made by a minority of the fandom prior to the movies' release (granted an increasing number and enthusiasm). In that regard, I don't mind the romanticism or plausible fanmade eroticism; if the story is greater than the amount of erotic content. It seems that the damage R34 could've done, was minimal(-ized[sp?]). I think sensible writers and artist, who produce eroticism, can help answer questions that Disney will never touch.
But then, I may be just making a case for sin. Who knows? Thanks for the innocent post! Keep up the great work!
I got dispointed that I seen the porn before the film, though I found out that I love cub Nick Wilde, right now because how my atypical mind is, I am on the subject of cubs, it's like.. Oh, I prefer him this young? Wow, nautral selection is a bitch.
The deleted scences cut me pretty deep as well, opression is an interesting direction that they, I feel they should have went with.. Still, I feel for young Nick Wilder. I am confused about life right now, I want to think about a relationship with a 9 year old character.
