A creature I met in a dream. It is odd for me to have canines in my dreams and that is part of the reason why he stood out so much.

I had come across some program that helped adopt out shelter animals. Somehow someone 'forgot' about it and I stumbled on all these cages with dogs in various states of dying and decomposition. It was horrible. (Like something you would see on those animal rescue shows on Animal Planet)

This wolf dog staggered and got up. He looked straight at me as if to say, No, I am not dying here. Half of his face was gone and he was super thin.

I got on the horn and started getting emergency animal services to rescue the animals. All that was repeating was if he, Defiance, lived he would be mine. Then I woke up.

The look he gave me though is burned in to my memory.

EDIT: probably has a similar color scheme to Zowie in Pet Sematary 2
