Backstory: A guy gets scratched by a tom cat and a few hours later suffers unexpected consequences. Well, lucky for the cat I guess.
Wow, this is among my largest projects even outside the realm of porn; here's the approx. workload:
6 hours to draw (in front of the TV mind you),
4-5 to animate,
7 to re-pencil,
1 to color,
2/half to re-animate,
3 for digital touchups,
3/half to wrap up.
SO 25 hours, for a few avatars. 0_o And then the compression... =(
The technique: I took two pieces of paper and folded them 3x4 each, drew a starting image on the first square then traced it 23 times from one sheet to the other and back (mind you this was printer paper, not tracing paper. Owie.)

Granted :) and all things considered formal training does sorta help, though as we can see it is not always necessary. If this is what you can do with limited tools and such, imagine what you will be doing in the future if you get the things you need. please do not take this as a shot at your artistic abilities, for I meant no disrespect. I was only admiring what you are capable of. ^_^
heh the walk cycle was the final project of my second term animation course at the Art institute here in the GTA so that was with a liiiiittle bit of formal training, but it was my first walk cycle and I am very happy with the result. ^_^ Lip syncing is also a lot of fun :D it's also really funny to watch an ENTIRE CLASS working on a lip sync project... you find yourself moving your mouth to see what extreme shape is made to make each sound... now picture a class of 30 doing that at once... golden my friend... golden
The worst problem i have with such things is that i have no board, so it's hard to keep the drawing in register. and like an idiot, i try to do pose to pose without making sheets first. (groan) i especially ahte Shamus Culhane's method of 'sketch within 6 seconds each, without making charts at all!' i'm like 'dude, you'll get the same happy accidents pose to pose too! YOUR method took me a week to inbetween because i didn't know where the fuck anything was afterward!
and for someone so obvs new to animating, i was impressed by how much secondary action you had in the chesticlies. bouncing takes practice.
