This is a MIDI cover of a song arranged by 1989 by Tim Follin, based on a song composed by Tamayo Kawamoto for the game Ghouls 'N Ghosts in 1988. Tamayo Kawamoto's version of the music graced the arcade and Genesis/Megadrive versions, while Tim Follin's arranged music was heard in the Commodore 64, Atari ST and Amiga versions. I had the Atari ST version of the game, and I always thought this arrangement to be inventive.
And yes, this MIDI is technically a cover of a cover of a song. X3
