Do you think it's fair to say that while those of us in the furry fandom may look to Tiny Toons, Rescue Rangers, etc. as our childhood inspirations, those of us also in the TF community have TMNT as our inspiration?

I'd say that's fair.

So-so. The TMNT spend the vast majority of their time being anthro-turtles (heck, I partially blame my anthro enjoyment on those wonderful shell-backs. XD), but there were some moments that I guess could attribute to the TF community.

I think that Animorphs, while much later than the TMNT, would definitely qualify for that role, though. :D
