I hate waste, including my own waste. I found myself using a lot of toilet paper to get perfectly clean, as I'm OCD about that, but it was a shame to use so much tissue for such a small issue. I'd also plug up people's plumbing if I went to their house.

I'm forever a crumpler. BUT... I do have a trick of my own to use less paper and still keep on crumpling: I wet the 1st ball of paper and actually clean the area! The next one or two balls are to dry off. I saved lots of paper this way!
