It's like I have my protagonist in my story "Marooned on Tashoo" tell a warrior he's training. If you know you're going to fall, just relax and let it happen. You're a lot less likely to get injured if you do. In Fen's situation, relaxing wouldn't have done her a whole Hell of a lot of good. LOL.

Considering that Hadalen works on the basis of the user understanding the workings of the things they make, that might've been tricky. Do they even have parachutes?

She knows how wings work on some level though. And it was in a panic mode too.

also, unless she made it a parawing, it would probably have been a more-violent deceleration than wings, which would flatten out the trajectory before impact... slightly. so following a slight curve instead of a straight line
