It's a Dragon, what use is running away if it wants to eat you? Personally I'd beg the Dragon to kill me quickly than running away. I don't want to get burned alive while trying to run away.

1. They didn't see her transforming into a dragon. She transformed before she jumped into the clearing.
2. As her transforming powers come from her Hadalen magic, which known rules she has broken at least twice before by doing something thought impossible I don't really think about that.
