(Commission) Apocalypse class destroyer by Fatalfox
The 5 km. long Apocalypse Class Destroyer is a sight to behold as it silently glides past luxury cruisers and dwarfing them in the process.
The stats are:
12 Heavy plasma cannons with 3 barrels each for use on slow moving or stationary targets and planetary bombardment.
600 Rapid Fire dual "Gatling" laser turrets for fast moving targets and point defence.
1 Docking bay under ship holding 50 fighters and interceptors.
1 Cloaking device.
30 Torpedo launchers.
20 High power tractor beam emitters.
Bow reinforced for ramming ships and space stations.
1 Primary shield and 6 secondary shields.
15.000 Crew.
125.000 Troopers for boarding and ground assault.
This is one of the ships in my soon to come, all furry, sci-fi movie.
And if you think the huge windows are weak points, think again. They had a couple of million years developing spaceships and the windows are as thick and hard as the hull.

It don't use a radar but several Hyperwave Spectrum Signal Sensors spread all over the ship, so when one is knocked out it have several in backup. The sensors can detect a fighter as far as 7 lightyears away. And i have sketched a Long Range Fighter based on the SR-71.
Hi! Don't usually comment on images this old but here goes. I has question!
Me <-- Star Wars nerd. Followed a link that said Star Destroyer and led me here. When you get deep into the old Star Wars lore (Pre-Disney) During the Great Hyperspace War, roughly 5000 years before A New Hope is set, the Republic were using a whole line of Cruiseres and Battlecruisers that looked really really extremely similar to this! The idea being that tech 5000 years ago was somewhat primitive compared to a Star Destroyer of Luke Skywalker's time, even though by that time as a culture they had already been spacefarers for at least another 5000 years. My question is; Was that deliberate? How similar it is to the old ships I mean.
Personally I think it's a nice reference if it is, and hilarious if it's not, considering how alike they look!

Star Wars have been a source of influence, as there are similar settings.
I haven't been reading many novels from before the battle of Yavin (hard to get those books here), most of my knowledge comes from games like Knights of the old Republic. So the similarity with old fashion looking ships is a coincidence, but in this case it's a reminder of when the navy was only a sea faring entity.
