Seriously doubt it's the latter. Between the fact that there was a mention that "they have a procedure" for this stuff in earlier pages which implies she did this before, plus the fact she sort of says she's not going to do this again/anymore (the "it's done, he was the last" comment) I think there's a sort of vague/shaky understanding between the two that Lamb needed to do this, and as much as Mis might not approve and wishes her student would deal with their trauma in a less violent and dangerous way, she strikes me as a very understanding sort.
I think Mis is mostly angry that Morgan ran off -- again -- without telling anybody. I mean, she's justifiably angry at slaving in general and that specific slaver in particular, but there was no plan of attack. Just one plan: attack. If those slavers were any more prepared or vigilant or just not so amazingly arrogant that they thought they could take on one person that took out half their soldiers before they knew what was going on, then Morgan would have been history. But she keeps getting results.
When you think about it, even without the slavers being more prepared, if Fen wasn't sent after Morgan, the slavers would've been at a standstill with hostages inside that cave and Lamb outside of it until something happened, probably resulting casualties. So yeah she did put those slaves lives at risk by going in alone without a plan.
I didn't say she wasn't capable, I just said that she didn't plan. She's lucky Fen was available for backup, Tamusa was unprepared/thought he could take her through sheer numbers (even as he saw her take down two of his men in front of him), and that her very thorough elimination of any previous slavers prevented them from generating stories about her.
I'd guess we're dealing with a non-fractional currency like yen (ie it only has the main currency no cent or other part curreny) so for easier math let's drop 2 zeros since currency like that tens to be to the nearest hundred so 15000 in bounties, set aside 3000 for reasons I'll outline in a sec that's 1000 a head per slaver with and the ringleader being 4000. Yeah that seems to fit into what you'd think of when seeing a bounty out for people like that.
Well, she did deal with a problem that Mis was already apparently planning on dealing with. Morgan just jumped the gun and charged in before Mis was ready. So there's a bit of "well, at least I don't have to deal witb that anymore." But also, "I had a plan for this, and your insubordinate ass just charged in without bothering to consult me."
