Morgan isn't saying that Friga is a quitter. She's saying that, at Friga's current level of fitness, the work Morgan has her class do is a bit much for someone just starting out, but is not shutting her out from joining the class once she gets the basics down.
You know. To avoid injuries.
You know. To avoid injuries.
Probably not? If your not strong enough it's not something that can be overcome by willpower. You'll just tear the tendons free from the bone and rip something in the effort and still not be able to lift it. Thats why she is saying she needs to do the basics, to get up to a point where she can do it without self inflicted injury.
i mean she is a Nomad Wolf, from a society that probably prizes physical prowess. ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51840577/ ) so i can see her wanting to work on both skills at once. plus it is clear from when she was given the offer to join, that she has quite a bit of hero worship going on. Her odds? What odds? Unless Morgan is putting wholly unreasonable expectations on those who want to be her students, all Friga needs is time, effort and will. All of which she has (as far as most folks know) ample amounts of. It might not be three months. It might not be six. But she can get there.
her chances to survive the story.
Innocent gung-ho character full of potential tells a main character how much the admire them, then gets killed tragically for the emotional gut-punch and to give character development for the character they idolized.
It's a classic trope.
To say "I don't like their odds" means to suggest that you think the story is going to have bad things happen to them.
