ah, you see I always thought "Twat" was an equivalent term to "dick," meaning something to the effect of "jerk," so I was a little confused about it's usage in that context, but now I get it.

The proper British definition, like all great insults, is pretty wide and encompassing. For example, Twat can just mean a pregnant duck, but more likely it is used to refer to someone who is a dick (“Mate you’re such a twat at times”). It can also mean hitting something, to “twat it with a great big hammer”. It can also refer to a vagina.

Obviously context is key when knowing what version is being used lol
