Not a thousand miles from Bergen, where my grandfather was from.

Now -- just under a *thousand* miles from Geiranger, you'll find the glacier Frostisen, and a little farming community in the valley of Elvegård, just off the Ofotfjord where Narvik is.

I don't know what possessed him to move from Bergen up there, but the extended family are still up there living life.

As it happens, it would take me 4.5 hours to get to Elvegård from my place :p
