As my latest 'sweeps month' (November, 2012) continues, here is another one of my 'fat furry doodles' - once again, drawn on a flyer (from my 'toll collector' job). In fact, this image was on the back of the same flyer where I'd drawn my last two doodles ("Tackle Blocker" and "Change In My Diet").
My inspiration for this drawing came from seeing one of the newer forms of advertising, the 'dancing balloon' (also known as an 'air dancer' and 'wind blower') - that tall, air-filled tube that flexes about in all directions - usually seen in the lots of car dealerships, shopping malls (during 'grand openings'), and other venues.
And I couldn't think of anything more appropriately shaped like a 'dancing balloon' than an elephant's trunk. So, using an air compressor (with the hose placed in his mouth), I'd pumped up one such pachyderm - causing his belly to distend - until the air finally escaped through his prominent proboscis.
I can probably imagine that inflated elephant promoting some sort of establishment - with an advertising banner draped over his ballooned belly, while his trunk flexes this way and that way!
