This is a species I created for the lulz of it.
I am really liking the design though.
I've put a general summery below.

==========================================
Language:
Fairetorak (Fah-Ri-Toh-Rahk) language is only well known within their species, Few being able to read the old writings. Fairetorak's stay within their tribes, rarely mating with those outside their species. Below area few known words that have been transcribed by a Fairetorak willing to help us better our knowledge about their species and way of life.
Grarrak (Rah-Rrahk) - Friend
Tolvah (Tol-Vahk) - Enemy
Haena'cht (Ha-Ni-Chet)- Homestead
Na'Cht (Ni-Chet) - Home
Fretahc (Fre-Tahk)- Female
Covah (Koh-Vah) - Male
Frevahc (Fre-Vahk) - Herm (or Hermaphrodite)
Hrevah (Reh-Vah) - Lost
Ge'Rach (Gi-Rahk) - Wise
Mirak (Mah-Rehk) - My/Mine
Adaption:
Fairetorak are known to live near oceans and in jungles, Deserts and near the Artic. The females of the species are known to be able to adapt to the loss of their male population by growing male genitalia, thus becoming Hermaphrodites and bearing more young during loss of population. The new hermaphrodites of the species can bare young along with fertilizing the females of the species.
Habits:
Fairetorak are known as a rather peaceful species. Most tribes keep to their own, only warring over low resources. The Fairetorak are known as a Matriarchy species, though there are a few tribes that are Patriarchy based.
Body Build:
The Fairetorak are an effeminate species. Both Males and Females having wide hips. Males torso's tend to be small and streamlined. Females have a small yet curvy torso. The males of the species, depending on location, differ in genitalia. Oceanic local would have genitals geared for marine line and mating, along with gills for underwater hunting they would also have more fat to protect them from the cold water. Jungle local would have more feline like genitalia. Desert Local would be more reptilian in shape. Arctic local would have more of a canid shape.
Local (Habitat):
Fairetorak live in sandy, wintry, forested or oceanic areas. Their skin tends to be spotted and they usually have fur on their heads and across their necks. Oceanic Fairetorak Do not usually have fur of any kind. Desert Fairetorak have a thin strip of fur down their head and back. Arctic Fairetorak's skin is resistant to cold, and they are the only known subspecies to use the hide from their prey to create clothing for their environment. Most Fairetorak do not wear clothing. Those Fairetorak who relocate to suburban areas, adapt to their environment within a month of moving.
• Oceanic Fairetorak lose fat to balance their internal temperature with suburban areas. They retain their gills throughout their live's no matter their local. Oceanic Fairetorak may grow some fur on their head and down their backs while living in a suburban area. Once said fur has grown, it will not fall out if they move back to an oceanic area. If it is shaved off, or removed via wax strips, it will not regrow unless they are within a suburban area. Oceanic Fairetorak usually live in caves near the shore, within the water or in huts across the beach.
• Desert Fairetorak will grow fur around their neck if they move to a suburban area. They cannot thrive in the artic regions. If they relocate to arctic area's, they have to double their clothing. Their body's are adapted to retain water, thus allowing them to go several days without water. They are able to bury themselves within the sand to cool their bodies. Their homes usually consist of hard sandstone walls under the sands surface.
• Jungle Fairetorak live high in the trees, creating large cities high off the ground. Their skin is able to resist outside moisture during the rainy season of the jungles. Their bodies are athletic in shape, allowing them to jump from tree to tree in search of food. They are proficient archers with hunting.
• Artic Fairetorak are proficient in the use of spears. The artic subspecies creates homes and clothing from the hide of prey. They tend to have thicker skin and fur than their cousins from the desert, jungle and oceanic regions. Their main diet consists of wild game, since crops rarely grow in their cold regions.
Here are the different Local subspecies.
