Geist was the subject of many cruel experiments in an illegal genetics lab, leading to her strange appearance. She finally escaped one day, but sustained injuries. Finding no comfort in several nearby villages – only scorn, fear, and further attempts at injuring her – she laid down one day, ready to let her life slip away. Little did she know that kindness would come from a small source, one who would give her hope and lead her to a new life. All she knew at that moment before the first rasping tongue lick was despair.
