With how easy it was just for ONE hacker group to take down the entire Internet today on September 27, 2021 just by DDOSing Amazon Web Services, I think that it's time that people didn't rely on AWS so much as a platform, as it leads to situations like this where a small hacker group managed to bring down hundreds of platforms by DDOSing AWS. Because of this, I think that the best course of action would be either more competing platforms like AWS or maybe even companies just creating their own solutions for that kind of stuff in-house if necessary and/or feasible. In other words, I think that overreliance on AWS has resulted in a dangerous situation where even one small attack on the platform, should it occur, would result in catastrophic effects that span the entire internet, causing not just damage to Amazon Platforms, but to hundreds if not thousands of other platforms as well.
