So hey yeah, Digimon 2020 is finished and all, here's a quick and dirty list on episodes worth watching, listed by someone who gave the series like 5/10 (bad/lazy/shallow story, veeery good action at times):

1-3 - start of the series, good animation, good action
8 - garurumon shinka scene, good yamato episode
9 - orgemon is a neat character
10 - metalgreymon first appearance
11 - weregarurumon first appearance
16-18 - battle against eyesmon
20 - takeru, angemon appears
23-24 - fight against devimon
30 - wargreymon first appearance
33-35 - tailmon trilogy
38 - a good episode for yamato & gabumon
45 - metalgarurumon first appearance
48 - mugendramon battle
50 - millenniumon battle
54 - the best filler episode
67 - the final battle

You might also wanna watch episode 66, though the animation in that one is kinda lackluster, the highly detailed mega digimon are barely animated in it xd

Overall the absolute best episodes are the big battles, 24, 50, and 67.

Episode 9 and episode 54 work pretty well as a combo too, they both tell about Orgemon and what happened to him after episode 9.



There's more episodes I semi-recommend too, thooough some of these are recommended only for like 1 or 2 good moments in the episode:

5 - lore and story (lightweight), kabuterimon first appearance

19 - leomon first appearance, he has a neat fight
21 - metalgreymon alterous mode first appearance

31 - some light lore
32 - more lore, pegasumon first appearance
36 - blitzhgreymon appearance, good episode for koushiro, good voice acting
43 - a dumb filler episode about etemon, volcamon, and ponchomon
46 - devimon torments angemon, holyangemon first appearance
51 - some lore
56 - cresgarurumon appearance

overall you can probably watch episodes 1-24 before you start thinkin about skipping boring/filler episodes
