The "Serial Edger" Challenge!
4 years ago
Hey folk!
I come to you today with something new! A CHALLENGE!
This is for all writers, experienced or aspiring, as well as artists out there that are fan of some rough, kinky stuff involving foxes and wolves! Over the course of my years as a writer here in the community, I've met dozens of similar-minded, extremely talented and creative authors that share many of my tastes. Many of those have even invited me to do collaborations and work with them! I have done a good handful of those, but the more I get into this stuff, the more I have on my writing plate! Writing has always been a long, thorough process for me and as much as I wish I could work with everyone, I struggle to find the time to do so. Therefore...
I decided to create this challenge! The premise is very simple. Coming from the setting of my latest story, Third Victim, I am challenging everyone that wishes to give it a try to write their own entry into the setting! The setting is loose and has a lot of space for each person's own take in it, or at least I tried to make it so, and I hope people will have fun giving it a try if they wish to do so!
I've taken the time to write down a general outline and rules for the challenge, which you can see below. If you like, it also comes in PDF format! Please take a look, see if it is for your liking if it is, I urge you to try your hand at it and participate! Everyone wins!
The idea of the challenge is to have people write (or draw) their own takes on the setting in which the Third Victim (SoFurry | FurAffinity) story takes place and create more victims. I will gather all entries on the challenge and list links to them in a bi-weekly journal so that everyone that enjoyed the series and its themes will have access to other works on the same theme! My hope is that this will create both visibility to artists and writers as well as content that everyone will enjoy! If you write, draw or enjoy things around this theme, please give it a try!
The setting of ‘Serial Edger’ is quite simple on purpose. It allows for good kinky stories that are not too long so that this isn’t a big endeavor. Reading the introductory chapter is a must to get a handle on the setting and, due to the nature of this story and setting, make sure that this kind of environment in kink is something you enjoy reading and/or writing about. It does, after all, involve elements of non-consensual play so, if that’s not your cup of tea, this challenge might not be for you! If it is, however, I would absolutely love to see what you come up with!
The challenge will consist of coming up with a new victim for our fox perpetrator to kidnap and abuse for one night before he is released! The story should follow the loose structure of the initial chapter: a wolf gets kidnapped by the mysterious fox, who then takes him somewhere and, well, does things with him all night while edging him. After that, the wolf must be released.
There are, of course, a few rules to the challenge overall to keep things organized! I don’t want to be too strict with them since I very much want people to be creative and put their victims through whatever they want, but we need some! I’ll list them here as follows:
About the setting:
* The story must always involve the mysterious fox and should follow what is happening to the victim.
* The story must always happen over the course of one night at max! The fox doesn’t keep his victims for more than one night. They are always released at the latest, at dawn.
* The victim must always be a male wolf, since those are who the fox has a beef against. Other than that, this wolf can be anyone and come from anywhere.
* The fox must take the kidnapped wolf somewhere. Anywhere is fine, the setting is loose and the fox is resourceful. (e.g. abandoned factory, public toilets, secluded park, etc)
* The fox always hides his full identity. This can be done by either limiting the victim’s sight (blindfold, etc) or by concealing his own identity (wearing a mask, helmet, etc)
* Very specific details about the fox cannot be given, such as his name, profession and such.
* The setting is, overall, MODERN times. Which means current real-world levels of technology and realism. Technology-wise it’s not too strict. The fox is, as I said, resourceful, so if you want to come up with some electro-teasing machine he built or anything that is fine. The technology cannot go TOO into sci-fi (as in, portal creation for example) and also no ‘magic’ of any sort.
* And, finally, Detective Braxton, as well as the first two victims that came before the first chapter, are off-limits! There can be mentions of them in the story, but no using this detective as a victim. ;)
About the kinks:
* The story must include some edging for the victim, as that is the fox’s main modus operandi with his victims. Aside from that, any other kinks are free to accompany it. In the original chapter, I included CBT for example, but that is not a must.
* Although there has to be some edging, denial is not a must. If the writer feels like it’s better if the fox makes the wolf ejaculate at any point that is fine.
* There are a few extreme kinks that I feel are not valid for this setting, as the fox would not go that far. The fox doesn’t kill his victims! So, as a rule, NO:
* Underage victims
* Blood and/or gore
* Castration
* Permanent damage
* Death
About the story/art and its posting:
* There are no limitations on point of view, narration style or anything. Write however you are more comfortable and feel is best! There is no word limit or minimum either.
* The story’s title can be anything you feel fits the story, but make sure to add the tag “SerialEdger” to it when you post it so it’s easier for me and everybody else to find it!
* The story or art must be posted in your own account. After you do, please give me a PM poke linking to it so I can know it’s up and include it in the listing of works from there on (and read it ASAP!).
* Do NOT send me drafts of the work to look over! I am not going to be approving or disapproving any entries, everyone is free to have their own take on this! If any entries break any of the rules, however, I will let you know and, if you don’t want to change it, that’s perfectly fine, but I will not include it in the bi-weekly list of works then.
* You can post it anywhere you like, as long as it’s publicly available. That means FurAffinity, SoFurry, Twitter (for art) or any other such platforms that can handle it.
* As I mentioned, artists are welcome as well if they wish to try it! A piece of art depicting a wolf getting edged by a fox in a specific situation can tell a whole story by itself and I’m sure everyone that loves this theme will love it as well!
I think that’s all of them! Whew, that was a bunch of them, but I hope it just helps outline the main gist of the setting and everything. If anyone has any questions about the rules, feel free to ask it in the comments or via PM!
Again, I very much hope that similar-minded people will take on this challenge and create more content we can all enjoy! More than anything, I hope you’ll have fun giving your own take on this pre-made setting!
And, finally, since writing a story or drawing a piece of art is a lot of work and effort,the challenge will be running until the end of the year of 2021, so if you choose to participate, you have until then to submit your entry! (UPDATE: The challenge is still running and will keep running for another few months until I see that most entries have been finished! Even when it does, however, I'll still take new entries and update the list with them!) Do keep in mind, though, that I intend on sharing a list of all the entries every two weeks, so the earlier you post it, the more times it will be mentioned as well!
Thank you and cheers!

When writing a story, the creativity, ideas and flow of writing are what really matters! Grammar is just technical. I recommend using a software like Grammarly. It’s free, easy to use, and it’ll spot 95% of any grammar mistakes you happen to make and you can fix them in a click. \o/
Regarding the question though... hmm... turning the tables, but without breaking the rules? You mean as in, a wolf getting the upper hand on the fox? I think that'd be okay if it was a momentary thing, but I feel like, overall, the bulk of the story should probably still focus on the fox doing something to the wolf as to keep the 'victim' feel of the series. x)
Not sure that's exactly what you're asking, but if you have any more questions, feel free to ask more or ask me via PM as well. :)
