I cannot belive I need to state this...

So yesterday I had a falling out with somone I was collaborating with who after a direct discord conversation voiced some concern with some of the topics with the project. The project has since been scrapped, but what I need to discuss here is the issue that led to the whole thing falling apart. The person I hired to help after several months of my commission with them on this, voiced some disagreements with certain aspects of the whole idea. My issue here is I was very up front about this aspect being a part of the entire project from the start, and even after the voiced their concerns I asked them up front if this was going to be an issue, to which they told me they would deal with it. Now the problem here is I feel they somehow decided to label me in an unfavorable way after this point, and thus leading the to whole thing going down in flames. So I want to clear thing sup on a certain issue.
In my commissions I attempt to maintain a very strict separation between the commission which is inherently a fantasy, and work of fiction, and reality.
The fact that I was basically judged on what was at it's core going to a piece of erotic fiction in a completely fantastic and unrealistic scenario kinda frustrates me. Especially since the other person involved is apparently going through psychological training, but yet had no issues with essentially judging me over a work of fiction they were helping me write. So I cannot believe this needs to be stated but the stories/ fiction / commissions I pay for do NOT completely represent who I am. I really do try to hire artists who can do a commission that I feel is within their range, so please keep in mind. Do not judge me for my taste in porn. especially since in this case it doesn't have any real individuals involved.

Now, as to "Judging you on your porn." Sorry, but that's going to happen to everyone. We roll up on a user in a computer repair shop, I used to work hardware repair at CompUSA, we discovered a guy with child porn on his computer. There's an actual limit to how much KP you can have on your computer and be "safe" but you gotta know any tech who looks at your computer is going to look at it, then look at you and tell his friends about the degenerate that they came across. I know, cause we did all the time at CompUSA when we'd find someone that was just under the threshold to be reported to the cops and their shit impounded.
There's a reason lawyers set out things like legal limits and the like. Why do you think so many people get stopped going into Canada with shota or loli porn? Hell, they had a guy who had videos of an actual adult stripper but she looked under 18 and they took him to court. They had to get the model to come and testify that in those videos she was of legal age and that yes, she was doing this of her own free will. People are going to judge you on your porn, whether or not you like it, and are just writing it for a client.
Someone asked me to do an attribute theft story involving oppai loli and I had to turn them down. Not because I wouldn't write it, it's a fictional character, but because I knew that should anyone read that they'd say "Yep, that's a closet pedo right there."
And you can sure as heck bet my friends love to remind me that I write smut, even though I'm slowly but surely laying out my sci-fi and fantasy stories. Building it brick by brick. You are judged by the media you consume and produce. It's just facts. So maybe if you don't want to be judged by risque work you shouldn't send it to folks who would question you.
Why not throw your work up on Reddit in one of the many writer's subgroups and ask for their opinion. They'd give a fresh perspective on whatever it is you're working on and if it's really so vile and disgusting or if it's ok and this artist is taking it out of proportion.
A bit of set up though: I am a moderator of the server you adamantly left, Lopernicus, and the owner tends to keep me and others informed on situations like these so we can stay aware. Now, there's only a few things I'd like to clarify, if you'd be willing.
First and foremost, the person in question does not do erotica or fetish bait works. Period. That has been a long standing rule and disclaimer of hers. Had you actually been up front and said that this was for erotica, she would have declined outright before money was exchanged and that would be that.
Secondly, speaking of up front communication, that requires money to not be exchanged and paperwork to not be started. Getting the process started and paying her, then stating as an after thought that this is for erotica is not up front. That's negligence at best, manipulative at worst.
Third, when you are trying to have work related conversations, do not drop personal griefs in there for no apparent reason. Statements on how you had a panic attack or your father has cancer do not belong in professional discussions, and seem to only exist to attempt some form of emotional manipulation via garnering pity points. If you are not well, say that things are rough and you may not be at your best. That is enough to get the point across to anyone who isn't completely daft.
And fourth, understand what you are trying to commission. This person in question does long form, deep dive world building centered on realism and internal consistency. Had you paid attention to what you were requesting, you would know this. Had you asked to clarify what service you were getting, it would have been made obvious.
As a final note, this person in question does retain the right and privilege to decline or cancel any works that she feels is wholly uncomfortable to her. This includes baby factory octopus people, justified enslavement, and wanton eugenics.
