On Friday, I took the rat back to Garcia's since Rascal didn't eat it. They didn't refund the $7 I paid for it, but it didn't matter; it's no great loss. Though I'm sure the rat was grateful to be alive. I saw a young ball python in a cage there for $225, and the thought had crossed my mind to buy it sometime, but it's too soon and I really don't want to spend the money.
Anyway, after I got home, I decided to clean up the cage, and put it and the other snake cage (which I haven't used for a long time) in the garage. I then dusted off the bookshelf where the cage was, and rearranged a bunch of my books, including all my Egyptology-related books (of which I have many) and filled that bottom shelf. Nevertheless I still can't help but think that both the cage and Rascal are still there. Not helping the matter is the fact that the backs of two of my books, The Tale of the Shipwrecked Sailor and Egyptian Hieroglyphics: How to Read and Write Them have been playing tricks on my eyes; when I look at them from the sides of my eyes, their light-colored backs almost look like Rascal's underside did when he would climb up on the cage. I have a feeling that this feeling is not going away anytime soon.
On an unrelated note, Dad wants me to help him with the Triumph restoration today, so I will not be streaming today. However, I may stream tomorrow morning; I'll update you tonite.
