Yes but I have had several people correct me on it or even get offended by it in the past couple days hence the journal.

Someone communicating that certain language hurts them isn't a "chip [on] their shoulder" and treating them as such is not only further hurting them, but flat out rude. I thought better of you than this. >.>

Sorry, but I wouldn't stoop to decapitating ANYONE. Too ghastly and likely to get me the fatal needle.
Plus, I'm too chicken.
I worry that someone else might stoop to violence. and I am regarding both sides of this.

As valid as your position is, Niko, if someone says "hey please don't call me that", it's only polite to listen. Regardless of your intention, if your words hurt, the burden of apology is on you.

I understand that, and If someone asks me to not call them as such I will abide by their wishes. I am just trying to make sure that IF I mistakenly call someone by that then they at least understand it is just that. A mistake, and it is not me doing it on purpose. I had someone get rather agitated by me doing so the other day, and despite my apologies and promise to try not to do it again, it took sometime before they were convinced it was not intentional. I'm just posting this, so I can hopefully not have the same issue happen again.
