Budgerigars have lived with me my whole life. You can see some of their photos on Instagram terons_rickman and videos on TikTok teronsrickman.
But just a couple of days ago, a misfortune happened: suddenly Leaf(the green bird on photos/videos) becomes ill and dies in the vet hospital. In my Russian-language blog, I wrote a lot about this, it was very painful for me (https://vk.com/clubprocessor?w=wall-44981697_17223). I raised him from the nest with his sister Eddie (bluebird).
However, after the death of Leaf, Evie (motley bird) has similar symptoms. She is also taken to the vet hospital. She has an infection. Eddie didn't have time to get infected.
However, the problem now lies in the cost of the being in the hospital.
Evie does not eat, she is fed from the tube, because the medicine cannot be given to a hungry bird + it will simply die if it eats. She is always wild, VERY wild, terribly mad. And if I would still dare to feed the same tame Tolen (my other bird) from a syringe, then Evie Iām just afraid to touch, harm, shove the tube not neatly or not at all and get into the respiratory tract. + Eddie is healthy at home, I'm afraid of infecting her, although there is a quarantine cell. Therefore, I trust Evie professionals.
But the hospital costs 2,000 rubles (~ $ 30) per day. And treatment is necessary + - 4 weeks, or at least until the bird begins to eat by itself, so that I can give her medications at home, and she will eat on her own, living in a separate cage.
I calculated, and an approximate treatment with a hospital would ideally cost about 50,000 rubles (~ $ 700) :_)

I am very embarrassed to ask for something like this, but I just simply do not yet have a sensible income, after completing my education this year I just started to draw pictures on the sly, but this is still too damn little, especially in such emergency situations
