Why I don't like gifts

◢✥◣ Gifts are a very generous form of affection or appreciation, and while the sentiment IS highly appreciated I'm afraid I don't like accepting them ;w;
I have a very small number of closest friends whom I will actually accept gifts from, such as birthdays and whatnot, and likewise I will gift those few too when I'm able.
But overall as a whole I don't like accepting gifts for two reasons.
1: I just feel bad!
Someone has taken their time to gift me something, and I'm able to give them absolutely nothing in exchange! It just doesn't sit right with me.
I wanna draw something in return except I can't sacrifice a commission slot because I literally need those slots to stay afloat! And when I'm not doing commissions I'm usually too busy to draw anyway or feel exhausted and would like to unwind doing my own thing while I take a break.
Myself offering gifts is unfortunately off the table, I can't do it!
Which makes me feel awful when someone gives me something and there's Jack shit I can offer back ;w;
Even when people dont want anything in return I still don't like accepting something for nothing.
2: I've had issues in the past with particular people offering me gifts without my knowledge they were even coming and what I was shown was quite frankly very uncomfortable to look at!
From UB with the umbilical cord to vore with my oc as prey in fatal situations with OC's I've never even seen before, to just outright turning my OC's into mindless sluts.
I don't like having my OC's put into situations I'm not comfortable with o_o
I've also had an issue with one particular user who would draw me soooooo many gifts I never even consented to, and they'd trace my artwork over and over again without even crediting the original and use it to gift other artists, which I was stuck on what to do in the beginning cause in my head I felt bad that they were making gifts so I didn't wanna seem like a dick and blow up on em, but in the end I did blow up, and I swiftly blocked them.
And yes they were reported.
As I said; gifts are a lovely sentiment, but I just can't accept them.
I'm grateful for people thinking of me, but if you'd like to leave me something that'll make me smile just write me a nice shout, or comment on my drawings :)
