This one's a keeper. THAT BLUE SKY FEELING is a BL manga that isn't about romance, but about the agonies of adolescent confusion, wrapping up its story in just three volumes, and all the more powerful for it. Kou's a closeted gay kid, Dai's a boy who thinks of himself as straight, but perhaps "asexual" would be a more accurate descriptor. No wonder they don't want to put a label on what they have together.
Okura's sensitive script and Coma Hashii's drawings (elegant in their simplicity) work together creating characters so likeable I wish their story would continue, for all the perfection of the ending (and yes, for the sake of the story I'm willing to accept the age difference between Kou and his adult ex-boyfriend).
