So, Patreon made me delete half of my content from their platform because of their Cominuty Guidelines, and then unlink my Twitter, and then asked me to delete all content from my Twitter infringing those Guidelines that had Patreon links on them...
Fuck that.
I guess sex between two brothers is illegal, Arcanine is bestiality and Naruto is still a toddler even if I age him up and give him muscles and hair on his body. The guidelines are stupid enough but I'm not gonna continue supporting a platform that sensors and stalks content creators on their own social media.
I might open a Subscribstar or something like that in the future, but for now, I'm just tired and pissed 😑
Also, If you paid Patreon this month, I'm not gonna leave you empty-handed, I sent you an email with a link to my Dropbox where I'm gonna put all content produced this month and the content from last month as well. If you need any help with that, feel free to contact me 💜

It's similar to what happened to Pornhub, wherein an anti porn activist group exaggerated the amount of CSA (Child sexual abuse) content on pornhub, and used that to convince Mastercard to blackball them. Pornhub only takes Cryptocurrency for their premium now thanks to that.
The writing has been on the wall with patreon for a while now. I saw it the moment they started censoring the word "cum" in creators' posts.
Patreon is Lando in Empire Strikes back, and the processors (Visa and Mastercard) are Darth Vader.
They're the ones who demand and enforce this, and since you can't really do business easily without them, companies bend over and take it. And the processors will always come back with new restrictions to abide by, telling you to pray they don't alter the deal further.
(For any not in the know; An Anti Porn group overstated the amount of CSA content found on Pornhub to get Mastercard to threaten blocking all Card payments on their site. Fun Fact: Twitter, instagram and facebook all have magitudes more CSA content than PH did.)
In most countries it, by most standards it is, and age of consent varies a lot. Regardless, censorship of properly marked material ultimately does nothing to prevent creation and distribution of that material.
Association with objectionable material may not be what a company desires, so Patreon is within their rights (and under legal pressure from multiple sources) to cull things. Tracking down your social media is a little creepy, though.
