This morning I found that the rats had gotten into the can cupboard beside the sink, and eaten some of the hamburger buns I put in there. I didn't see any holes in the cupboard but Mom and I will have to take everything out of it and make sure there are no holes or rats in it. We also found rat droppings on the tablecloth Mom had just put on yesterday, and one of the traps I set on the buffet last night was sprung, a dead rat on the floor in front of it. This means the problem is still nowhere near solved!
Mom had taken everything out of the cooler cupboard a while ago and put it on a table, but she still needs to clean the lazy Susans that go in it, and we then need to put everything back (after we clean it off that is). We also need to get everything out of the TV room (there is quite a lot of junk there behind which the rats could be hiding) and the brick wall outside of the Tv room is beginning to fall, having been flimsily built to begin with. So we borrowed a large jack from my brother to jack it up, so that we could close the gap at the top so the rats cannot get in. Mom is really stressed right now, as am I, and I can tell this is not gonna be over for a good long while. And I haven't even done any Christmas shopping yet!
How can I find time to get the commissions done that I have pending? I am so sorry for the delays, but I will do my best to try and get the commissions done in time.
