Ok, so I legitimately NEED some input

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Place paws here~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So, as some of you may or may not know, I am an aspiring novelist, I'm about halfway through my first book, the first in a series I call Catching Magic, Sea of Broken Glass, and hope to have it done by my birthday. But as far fewer of you know, I am, what I like to call, TERMINALLY CREATIVE. By that I mean I can LITERALLY NEVER STOP THINKING OF NEW IDEAS. Sure, sounds nice, being able to have so many ideas, never be wanting for the next big thing. But that completely overshadows everything else UNTIL the next big thing. Bluntly speaking, creativity is a fucking curse. =w=
I have... fifteen books that I need to write. No, not all in one series; there's a couple one-offs, couple series, couple fan-service books... until last night. I came up with another book series =w= Maker of Dragons is the working title of the first book, though haven't thought of a good series-name yet, but thats neither here nor there.
The essence of the books is the most dangerous feelings. The first one explores the "need for freedom", the feeling of being entrapped and enclosed, fighting against it and breaking free.
BUT
I need several more "dangerous feelings". I've got Righteousness, fear, and anger as runner-ups, but I want to know what YOU guys think is a dangerous feeling. Give me your answers, and WHY you think tis the most dangerous.
I'd call "absolute faith" a dangerous feeling—it can compel you to believe the most outlandish things, to carry out heinous atrocities, to ignore the advice of others, and to justify toxic beliefs/attitudes. In the "real world", the most prevalent and extreme example would probably be religious fanaticism, but I'm sure there are other examples that aren't as extreme. Absolute faith in oneself can also lead to arrogance and overconfidence. Hopefully this helps!
funny you mention that, faith is going to be a big part of the second part of the first book, where peoples faith is quite literally being used against them in the worst possible way. Think Dark Ages, but longer than a thousand years
I would highly recommend, If you’re seeking to be published, to re-evaluate and focus on just one book. Having a bunch of ideas is great, but I would strongly suggest completing the work you have started first. If anything, find ways to incorporate it into your current project.
Oh trust me, I am focusing on one, putting my time and effort into finishing it first, but in the time between when I'm working on it, specifically at work when I have so much time to think, mu mind invariably goes to new projects. And now its stuck on Maker. So giving it the credit its due, fleshing it out in notes instead of writing two at once.
Despair is pretty dangerous. Falling so far into regret and sorrow that you ultimately feel nothing for anyone.
The Devil's Carnival (musical film by the guy who did Repo the Genetic Opera) is a good film that explores the dangers of various emotions, including drowning in grief/despair
