Help me bring my dad home (GoFundMe)

Another really hard post for me to make but this is a follow up journal to the previous one.
We talked to the funeral home today and we can not afford what they want for my father to be cremated. They want $1600 and some change in one payment. I haven't been able to work since December. I babysit for only $100 a week and my mom draws SSI which is only like $500 a month for her. That $1600 dollars doesn't even include a urn and my father deserves a beautiful one.

Have you looked into SS for cremation? Your family will probably (might)qualify for it through the state and you will not have to spend money on the funeral/cremation cost. As for the urn you do not have to use/buy any from the funeral home. You can place your father in any type of container, from cookie jar to something more custom/personable.
As for the urn, we have one in mind that we are going to purchase here soon. Not from the funeral home themselves.

I'm sorry for your loss. At least you were able to spend one last Christmas with them before he had to go. I hope you get to bring him home soon.
