Mr. Wolf has been around for years before this movie hit. What bugs me isn't that they apparently dropped him like a bad habit after a few days, but that they are unaware he's existed for several years.

That too. But holy hell the thing that just absolutely bugs me the most is the fact that they'll keep the most absolute shit tier characters saturating everything forever with no complaints, but then they drop him in two fucking days and act like he was some unbearable plague of some kind.

What's an example of a shit tier character?

I'm not in the mood to go down that rabbit hole. If I give SPECIFIC examples (and I have quite a few), it'll absolutely piss people off and blow up into a big to-do.

Most likely the hate comes from seeing furries fawning over characters of common species rather than of someone who's species is rarely seen. But if the rarely seen species was to be mostly fawned over, people would complain about them as well. There's no winning! Lol

There's no harm in liking Mr. Wolf and there's no harm in letting people enjoy liking Mr. Wolf. As long as what people are enjoying isn't hurting anyone or anything in any way, let people enjoy it.

I'm so damn tired of people complaining about "common" species. And honestly, the people who complain about that usually have absolute nightmares for characters, going out of their way to be "unique".

You know, characters can have great personalities and be amazing without having to look like they were created from the parts of 20 different genres of shit. I SO wish people could focus more on personality rather than how many loud colors or accessories they can cram on a character.
